~ happy birthday Debbie

~ recently it was my aunts birthday so of course I had to make her a
memory card

in the picture she is holding a Bellini
so I had to quill one for her card

I made a few extras to make greeting cards
...soon as I have the pictures done I will show those too

~ recipe box

 ~ hello
 since I showed you my 'recipe' card for keeping my instructions in order
I thought I would show you the box where I keep the quilling 'recipes'

the white scrap paper in the front of the box are recipes I need to re-write
so they are written on the same paper with a tab for the name

hopefully one day it will be all neat and tidy and fit nicely in the recipe box

~ S.W.A.K

~ happy valentine's day
I saved the last {but not least} of my valentine's cards especially for today
I quilled these lips a while a go and they were just sitting on my desk waiting to be loved

 Charlotte from The Art of Quilling posted quilled lips recently too
our {quilled} lips look similar except hers are made from
1/8" paper and mine are from 1/4" paper

check out her lips here if you haven't yet
her cards are adorable and I love the quote on the lips card

and {just in case you don't know} S.W.A.K. stands for
sealed with a kiss

happy valentine's day

~ quilled wedding dress

~ hello
and here is the third of the cleaning house cards
I made this one early last year but only made one card because it took sooooo long to do

I know if I took them to work I would sell a lot of them but I am afraid to try it again
I think it might be a 'one shot wonder' -  you know, the ones that are hard to duplicate

but I think I will give it a shot sometime soon...

~ happy birthday to you {quilled flower}

~ good morning :)
 here is the second card from last year
it is the same style as the first one but with a bit of colour

 I like to have some flowers on hand so when you need a last minute card
it is super quick to put it together {which is what these last two cards were}

like some of you commented on my last post, these flowers can be tricky to get just right
but keep trying and it will come
and non quillers just love them and don't know a good one from a bad one

....enjoy your day

~ cheryl

edited to add a quick tutorial ......

make 3 eye marque shapes. The middle one 12” or ½ of a {lake city paper}
strip and the outer two 24” or a full strip each.

I pinned one large marquee to my quilling board gluing along one side, added the inner or small marquee and sandwiched it with the remaining large marquee with glue on the inside and then pinned it to place as well. Once it was dried I added a bit of glue to each end to get a nice point. I then pushed in on both ends to 'fluff' it up. For the flower in my original post I also wrapped the complete flower in quilling paper
