~ quilled 3d park scene

~ happy day after mother's day

I've been working on some very special projects lately
and now that I have given a few of them out I can start sharing them

most days my mom and I take her dog for a walk on a local walking trail
my mom feeds the birds and squirrels seeds while her dog chases them away

my mom is usually wearing her red coat so when the birds see the lady in
the red coat they follow us along waiting for some seed to be tossed

so for my moms birthday in April I made her a 'walk in the park' quilled scene
it was a hit...

................... edited to add ...................

here are 2 pictures that might give you better perspective on how big it is
it is a bit bigger than palm size

the base measures 4" square (or 10 cm) and it is 4" high
the first picture shows the box I put it in
it is a 4" square clear box

the second picture is the stand that I take my card pictures on

~ paws-itively quilled dog

ok...so I don't DRAW
I hate to DRAW
I am REALLY BAD AT DRAWING

but a drawing I used to do as a kid came in really handy when
I was asked to quill a black and white dog for a birthday card
I did this drawing so much as a kid that the strokes are ingrained in my memory

so here is the drawing...
to make the quilled pieces part black and part white
I added a few extra strokes to the face and shaded in the areas to quill black

and here is the quilling

and of course I am not just going to make one so I had to make some to sell

here is the card I will put up in my shop this week

hope you have a paws-itively awesome day

~ for a great friend - quilled dog

 ~ good morning
now that blogger is back to *normal* I can show you
the card I was uploading when the whole thing crashed

this is a very generic quilled dog
and not as specific as the Scottie dogs
but cute all the same

the background is done in photo shop again
but this time it is just colour to represent the sky and ground
I think I will be able to use it many times over

~ enjoy your day
