~ quilling paper....storage ~

 ~ hello

storage always seems to be a topic of discussion with crafters
but even more so with quillers
those long strip of paper are not the easiest to store
especially if you want them at the ready

I like to see them all at once and hate getting them out of the package
so this is what I came up with many years ago and it still seems to work for me

a bulletin board
straight pins
and voila

what is nice about this method is after a few weeks the strips straighten,
the board is right behind my desk so it is easy to get at
and it is wonderful eye candy

and if you are wondering what the paper is behind the strips...
it is from my very first quilling kit with instructions of quilled shapes
I just move aside the strips to see it

how do you store your quilling paper?

I should have also told you that I only hang 1/2 the strip on my bulletin board and the other half stay in the original bag and then are stored in a box (pictured below). That way I know what the colours are and when I go away I just grab the box with my tools and take it all with me. I also hang some of the bags on my wall if I use them a lot. This is just for my 1/8" strips....the wider ones are store in a separate box.
