Hello everyone
I love this time of year when the weather gets a little colder, the leaves start to fall and Thanksgiving starts to approach (for us Canadians). To decorate my mantle I usually like to bring the outside in...to give it that natural look. This year I decided to use basket shred on my mantle to fill in the white spaces and am happy with how it turned out. I also use basket shred as an accent to my nativity scenes. It is an inexpensive and easy way to decorate and add interest to your projects. You can buy it at The Essential Packaging Store (scroll half way down the page) in a variety of colours. I will show you a better picture of my mantle and how I made those little pumpkins in my next post.
Happy (soon to be) Fall
Cheryl

My brother went to Japan and all I got was.......
washi tape....and lots of it. How lucky am I.
I had asked my brother to look out for washi tape on his travels so when he saw a craft store he went on the hunt. The store was crammed full of product and a bit on the messy side and no one spoke english. He asked for washi and they took him to a bolt of fabric then they indicated that they didn't have any so he stared to leave when he decided to turn around and look for himself...it was full of stuff so he thought they've got to have it. And they did.
He didn't know what colour or pattern to get so he bought one of each, and some origami paper too...what a good brother (thanks Rich). I am going to have a lot of fun playing with it. Take a look.......
Yum...

edited to add: I have been getting questions on what is washi tape and my best explanation is masking tape for scrapbookers and card makers (narrower and in way better colours)

Happy Anniversary ..... to me
August 30th was my 3rd anniversary working at The Essential Packaging Store so I thought I would share the beautiful flowers I received from Anna and Dave for the occasion. It is hard to believe it is 3 years already...time flies when you are having fun.
...can't you just smell how fragrant they are?
Cheers

we interrupt this program to bring you......BLUEBERRIES
BLUEBERRIES are my favourtie fruit hands down with raspberries being a close runner up. I was lucky enough to receive a bucket of BLUEBERRIES the other day from my good friend at work...Cathy! Thanks Cathy...they were awesome.
And since it has been a few years since I made jam I decided to whip up a batch or 2. With my trusty camera always close by I shot some pictures to show you all.

Happy Birhtday to......ME
Hello everyone...today is my 48th birthday so I thought I would show you some oldies but goodies. What was it about the 60's that made parents dress their kids the same...did they all secretly want twins or could they not pass up a good deal when they saw one...buy it in every size and pass it down for generations? And as always, comments are welcome...but I might not approve them (hehe)
Thanks for going down memory lane with me....have a great day everyone
