Good morning
here is the 3rd of the Hero Arts cards I have for you...I think this one is my favourite. This time I coloured the image with pencil crayon which I don't do often but I like it here. The frame stamp is from Odd Bird Planet.
I am getting ready for the Honeybee Festival so I still don't have new cards to share but I have been quilling some critters so I think I will give you sneak peek for my next post. If you live in the Vancouver area come check out the festival. It is my first time participating but I hear it's not to be missed. I live 5 minutes away from the Honey Bee Centre and have never been to the festival...though I do go often to buy honey and it is delish. Enjoy your day...see you next time.

You have PURSEonality
Good Morning....thanks again for checking out my blog. For today's Hero Arts card I used the stamp "Party Chick". Again, I stamped with versacolor and embossed with clear embossing powerder (this is my favourite technique when stamping and I don't often stray from it). I used copic markers for colouring.
For some reason my nephew gets a kick out of giving this card to his (male) friends on their birthday's and is choked if I don't have one for him to use.

For Somebirdy Special
Good Morning
thanks for stopping by. I have 3 cards lined up to show you over the next few days that are all stamped cards and all use Hero Arts stamps. Today's card I used the "bird with long legs" from Hero Arts and "for somebirdy special" from Odd Bird Planet (their website is no longer on the internet so I think they have closed shop which is too bad because they had wonderful stamps). This was a quick card to make...no colouring involved...I just stamped the images with black versacolor ink and embossed with clear embossing powder.
Enjoy....
until next time....

Stamped Cards....Stamping Bella
Hello everyone
as promised yesterday, today's card images are from Stamping Bella...one of my favourite stamp companies, and to top it off they are Canadian. I love supporting Canadian businesses and they are an easy one to support. I have a few cards to show today so I won't bother posting the supplies used but if you want any info let me know.

Stamped Doodle Flower
Good morning
Thanks for stopping by. The card I am posting today was made in 2007 but it is still one of my favourite stamped cards I've made so far. The stamp I used is called Doodle Leaf Flower from Hero Arts. I had entered a contest with this card at Creative Accents in Williams Lake a few years ago and ended up winning some free goodies and joined their creative team for few years.
Stop by again tomorrow for some Stamping Bella cards.
Have a great day

It's your day
Good morning everyone
....why does it seem that penguins and ducks are good for guy cards. I guess it helps that they are wearing ties and hats. Here is the funny penguin guy again from Memory Box...he is quick and easy to colour and fun to use.

Paper Piecing Tutorial
Good Morning
for today's masculine card from 2007 we are back to Stamping Bella and this cool dude is called beerafella. If you take a close look at his shirt and shorts you'll notice a pattern on them. The technique I used here is called paper piecing and is super simple to do.
He is a quick tutorial for how I made this card....

He is a quick tutorial for how I made this card....
- I stamped beerafella on to 3.5" x 2.25" white card stock
- then stamped him on to a blue & red patterned paper
- then cut out the shirt on the blue paper and the shorts on the red paper
- and coloured in the belt on the shorts with a black felt
- then designed card front
- and attached the white card stock with first stamped image to it
- and coloured in desired areas on the white card stock with twinkling h2o's
- then attached the shirt and shorts with dimensional tape to pop it off the page
- and viola....
Have a great day

BoJangles
Hello bloggersI made this card using a stamp from one of my favourite but sometimes hard to find stamp company....Rosie's Roadshow. They are just from Bellevue Washington but not a lot of stores in Vancouver carry them....at least in my area. Their stamps are A-DORABLE! I am drawn to stamps that tell a story and Rosie's Roadshow stamps do just that. I love adding to collections that make you pull out those older stamps to ink them up again. I usually use my computer for the phrases and sentiments on my cards but Rosie's Roadshow has some really good phrase stamps. I can't say enough about them....
And if you have been following my blog you may have noticed I like to take my pictures around my house...on my mantle, nest them in some flowers or...in this case....sit them in the wreath I have on the door. The wreath is kinda dull and boring but did the trick.
supplies used
- BoJangles stamp (Rosie's Roadshow)
- cardstock scraps
- circle punch
Have a great day

Happy Victoria Day....For me, generic cards for guys are a challenge. I do fine when I am making memory cards for the guys in my family but when I am making cards to sell I have to consciously make some for guys.....not sure why but it just is. I did better last year but wasn't blogging then so I am showing them now. This is a fun, fresh looking card. It's not quite beach time yet but itsa comin. There is not a lot going on with this card but (as you have heard before) I think simple is better.
supplies used
- surfafella (stamping bella)
- twinkling h2o's
- green,white & blue card stock
- tab punch from stampin up
- cuttlebug embossing folder

Mother's Day Revisited - Pt 2
Hello everyone.....
here is a mother's day card I made in 2006. I really like the softness of this card and embossing in white was new for me but I like the look.
Thanks again for stopping by

welcome Little One
Good morning and thanks for checking my blog today. I am told I need more baby, wedding and shower cards at The Essential Packaging Store where I retail my cards so that is what I will focus on the next little while. I love the simplicity of this card and it was super quick to make...though I did have the baby in the pea pod already coloured and cut out so that helped too. When I have a chance I stamp & emboss a bunch of images and colour what I can so they are ready to use...they are handy to have already done when you need to make a card quickly.
Supplies Used
- stamp...baby bella pea from Stamping Bella
- versacolor black
- embossing powder
- twinkling h20s
- white card stock (envelopments)
- scrap metallic teal card stock
- ribbon scraps
- bright white card stock
- nestabilities die
- computer for printing
Let me know what you think.....
Thanks

go with the flow
Good morning...happy April Fools Day. Are you going to 'get' anyone today? Since I like to 'get' everyone regularly I am going to take a break for today and not have any victims (so far anyway). And for those of you who grew up with a superstitious grandma like I did....Rabbits, Rabbits, Rabbits. And that has nothing to do with Easter. For good luck, it is the first thing you are supposed to say on the first day of a new month. Well no rabbits today but here is my final installment of fishy cards...for a whale anyways...and I am not 'foolin'.
