~ quilled flower card {thinking of you}

~Hello everyone

I am going deep in to Christmas quilling mode {with nativities and cards)

so I won't have much time to blog but I have 7 quilled flower cards that 

I did a few weeks ago that I can share with you

I designed a {very simple} stem in photo shop that I can use as a 

base to create quick and easy cards for a variety of occasions

all I need to do is change the flower and sentiment

to create a new card

I will show you the rest of them over the next 6 posts

you will see more pictures than words {if any}

so I can have more time to quill

the stem of the flower says

which I used photo shop to create

{gotta love that program}

~ you are my sunshine

I have always loved the song 'you are my sunshine' and often have the tune in my head so that is my inspiration for this card....and well we are all definitely in need some sunshine I think. As usual... there are lots of pictures.

I hope your days are all full of 'sunshine'

you're a hooooooooot

Good afternoon

Today is a good day....I have gotten some quilling done, made some cards, taken the pictures and actually loaded new stock on my etsy site AND sold a valentine card on etsy too {the one in my last post but I have lots more so I quickly re-listed it}. Whooooot hooooot

and on that note....I have always loved  Miyyah's owls and thought I would try my own. My little guys eyes are on the small side {well for an owl}, the feet are round and the little guy is probably starving with out a beak but he is still cute all the same. Thanks for the inspiration Miyyah!!

Thinking of you...quilled dragonfly

Good morning
...this quilled dragonfly really wasn't one of my favourites when I made him...in fact I didn't like him at all. I wasn't too sure what it was about him that I didn't like but his wings were big. He sat on my desk being neglected then I decided to take his wings off and make them smaller and you know what....he looked a lot cuter.

So I  took him to the honeybee festival with all of the quilling pieces and thought if I got around to it I might package him for sale to use as embellishments for scrapbooks and everyone loved him. I didn't even have him packaged when the first person spotted him.

Then I put him on a card and he came to life for me....now I really love the little critter (even if his eyes are a bit wonky).

The moral of the story is don't give up on something or someone that "isn't perfect".
